Let me introduce, I am Anggiawan Nugraha, I am as debater from Tasikmalaya.I would like to tell you about How to debate.We know that debate is talking something about the topic. We can talk about our condition now in Indonesia,it is about education,Politic,economy,social culture,law,safety,and many others.But we don't talk about religion because it can make conflict between us.In debate we don't appear our emotion,it it so bad.
The system of debating consists of some system, such as WSDC system,British Parliamentary, and so on. Here the WSDC system , we must follow it.there are 2 sides,for the first is government side and for the second is opposition side.Before we begin the debate, we must determine the motion. Here are the examples of the motions:
That national examination are unfair condition for student to graduate
That children education is government responsibility
That Technology ruins humans life
That we should get married young
Now we take one motion. It is That national examination are unfair condition for student to graduate. Here are the tasks of each speaker
Government Side
1st Speaker :
Give the limitation of the motion (e.g. National examination is standardization for determining the passing of student in junior high school or senior high school with score which is determined).
Explain your reason(e.g. I agree with this motion because every school have different quality).
2nd Speaker :
Rebut the opposition's statement from 2nd Speaker
Deliver the best opinion
Prove the argument with fact
3rd Speaker :
Rebut the 3rd Speaker's statement from opposition
Give the fact but don't make new argument
Replay speaker make the conclusion and the solution
Opposition side
The contradiction of government side
